Why do some of us, sit and dwell on injustices, rather than collectively or independently come up with a resolution?
I see questions that ask why and who, instead what or how.
Your opinions are appreciated, as you are Peace~

I meant to say, with resolutions, rather than, with "a" resolution.

"Ryko" states how "African" sounds weird, but if she would read, thoroughly, she'd see that I said "Africa Peoples", meaning any type of descendants of Africans. The term "black" just doesn't describe the spectrum.

That's a good point...I think the whole human race could benefit from concentrating on what we have in common rather than what sets us apart and divides us...

You are wasting your time on these youngsters that don't have a clue how to answer your question. Resolution can only be reached when both parties are willing to go forth. This is not always the case. People hold grudges and can't let go of the past so easily. I don't know... Since my ancestors were kept in bondage... treated like 2nd class citizens... ridiculed and mistreated... hung from tree limbs... and hunted and gunned down just for the thrill of it... you might want to ask someone else.

Let those who hate you for asking be words that tumble away in the wind. When this nation comes to grips historically on the real history of slavery and the sell-out of Reconstruction, then and only then can there be significant progress forward without asking many, many of the same questions about the past.

You not black or "African American" so you need to worry about what "whatever race you are or what ever race you attempting to fit into" need to do about your situation. If you are black and look that photo you have I don't want to hear your self hating self say ask anything. Wok on that blonde hair and holla back whenever you want to be black "IF U R BLACK"

......Well.....African.....hmmm......Black people would be better on my own view, it sounds worse when you say "African"-Weird. I think...someone who has influence over the media and public views- should just say DOWN with racism! C'mon, people love what they see on TV and I think they'd listen if someone popular *hopefully not paris hilton* says down with racism and lives by that claim. Yay!

I agree. We should be working together to resolve problems instead of just complaining about our past.

key word - collectively. American culture is very individualistic and Black people are not immune to that.

I've seen some of your comments sweetie, and frankly...you're a bit obssesed with the African American race.
Just look in the mirror and convince yourself that you never will be Black and your obssession doesn't further your chances.
Move on.
