I can't define what love is, but I can give you a quotation, whose author's name is lost in the morass of trivia in my brain: "The opposite of love is not hatred; it is indifference."

You can't measure love. Mary loves Bob, Mary loves Jim, Mary loves Mike. Because there's something about Mary. Not the movie, but their love for each other, their attraction. Therefore, because bob loves mary, bob loves jim, jim loves mike who loves everyone even mary. Love is all there is. Love is everything, and everything is God.

Everyone would protect mary because they love her. Furthermore, since God is Love,God is life and God created mary from Love. Cause everyone loves mary, therefore, Mary can Never Die. However, everyone would still protect her because there something about mary that they love.

I don't think you can objectively measure their love for Mary because how do we know Bob or Jim are not just playing her? All we can really do is go by what they say their feelings are.
