If a man ends a marriage (cheats on her or just doesnt want to be married to the woman anymore), the woman wants to take half of everything the man owns as an act or revenge. Most cases the woman never had anything and the man is hard working. She wants all of what's hers and all of whats his if she can get it. However, when it's the woman that ends the marriage (cheats on the husband or falls in love with someone else), men are not concerned with getting all or half of what the woman owns. Why does most men like to work hard for what they have but most woman like everything handed to them for free. Women feel as long as they have a vagina, they're entitled to the world. If you happen to be one of the women I'm referring to, please don't be that way. Stay in school, don't get pregnant at 16. Get your bachelors degree and become successful. Stop depending on men. You'll be respected more.

TO ALL OF YOU PEOPLE SAYING THAT WHEN THE WOMAN STAYS HOME, SHE DESERVES HALF, BULLSHIT. HOW ABOUT WHEN THE WOMAN DECIDES TO END THE MARRIAGE, YOU THINK THEY SHOULD STILL LEAVE WITH THE MANS MONEY?

the bigger problem with this dilema is most people get thier opinions from personal experiences with themselves or with friends and family.

Yes we know there are deadbeat father, but there is also great fathers. Just as there are great mothers and bad mothers.

People are focusing on mothers who stay home, but the fact is there are a lot of working mothers who act the same way. Look at all the high profile marriages that end up in huge settlements even when the man made most of his fortune before they met. Some women just think they are owed certain things, just as some fathers do not think they should pay anything.

The fact is the system is biased towards the women with kids and it creates animosity in the system. Especially with fathers who just want to do the right thing and get screwed for it and see deadbeat fathers getting away with paying next to nothing. The system needs to be rehauled and looked at individual situations. And stop lumping everyone into a certain stereotype.

Just as some women are this way, there are equal or more men who are needy, won't work, lazy, and abusive. Who turn from being mama's boys to depending on a woman to support them and take care of them. If men weren't chasing all the vagina's and promising the moon to get it maybe the girls would learn to be dependent. There is no perfect answer as this is an imperfect world..

Gold diggers plain and simple. I don't need any handouts from anyone. When I don't have to ask for anything from anyone it gives me dignity for myself. I got pregnant at 16 but my son has grown to be respectable and educated. I don't think because I'm a woman I'm entitled to the world. I have worked all my life as a welder and then went to school and got all my certificates and became Quality. I have raised all 4 children on my own and have not regretted on minute of doing it. I liked having my children young because now I have the strength and energy to be grandma lol.

Get a life. Women are not like that. When a woman is a stay at home mom, raising kids and taking care of the house, while the man is out working, when they get a divorce she is entitled to half of everything. She put just as much time and effort into the relationship as he did and worked just as hard at home.

When both work it's still the same. Everything is split up between them.

If you're so worried about your prescious stuff, then sign a prenup before you get married.

What a sour puss you are! I am not one of those women. I divorced my ex and I didn't take him to the cleaners. He kept all the bills and the house. I took my student loan and my car.I didn't ask him to sell the house so I could get half and I didn't want any of his pension from work. Why??? Because we have 3 teenagers and their well being was far far more important to me then trying to take all that I could from their father. He is a good man and doesn't deserve to be treated that way. I am sure there are women out there that want it all after a divorce but not all man!

LOL. If a woman marries a man and manages his house while he is at work, and stays faithful and cares for his children, THEN SHE deserves half of the loot any day. You need to grow up!

not very clever comment. you cannot stereotype. besides, women takes care of the finances at home, take care of the children, cook and clean everyday. they really deserve that half.
