The sponsors pay them to wear clothing that attracts audiences and to do this they use a females sexuality. Clearly a double standard.

First of all, most have toned bodies that they work really hard for. Do you actually know how hard? I think not. And they deserve to show it off and flaunt whatcha mama gave ya. Secondly um, that's what all the tennis companies make. And it's breatheable and cool to wear on hot days. What do you expect? Dress up in amish outfits and trip all over our dresses and stuff. I don't think so. . . So next time you wanna make a comment on how ATHLETES dress think about it. It's sport. Like why do track runners wear barely nothing? So they can be fast with out all the clothes in their way and be cooler as well. Thank you. My point has been made.

One would think that this question would have been better served had it been placed in a section that specialized in sporting information.
The simple fact of the matter is that it has to do with body dynamics. The less one wears in certain sports the greater range of movement. Men do not wear 'skimpy' garments for the patently obvious reason that Our genitalia are external, and as such may be viewed from time to time. Women's, on the other hand are internal and free from exposure. As breasts are not genitalia, but rather 'auxilliary sex organs', playing no part in conception and childbirth, they are therefore only covered for the sake of modesty, and supported so as to prevent 'intercostal' tearing and unnecessary exuberant stresses. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics We had to explain all this to members of the media.
The fact that sporting stars look better with less clothing is just an added benefit for the promoters. The sponsors would rather have Them all wearing billboards for greater exposure.

In track, it is definitely for aerodynamics.

The material clings to the body and prevents chafing in sensitive areas, where friction could occur.

In volley ball, for movement, also. Think about how the arms would look after bumping the ball against seams. Beach volley ball, consider the sand.

Also when playing one doesn't need to get up in one's clothing.

In tennis, quick reaction is needed. If one had longer skirts, there could be some injuries due to tripping.

That doesn't mean that skimpiness is warranted in all cases. Bikini tops could just as easily be tanks, and bottoms could more closely resemble boy shorts than bikini bottoms.

The answer : a combination of both.

Measuring the penis when it isn't erect is pointless, since the length and bulk are affected by various temporary factors, such as the ambient temperature. Even the largest male organ can shrink to virtually nothing if the man goes for a swim in cold water. However, at normal temperatures a non-erect p enis usually measures between 8.5 cm and 10.5 cm (3-4 inches) from tip to base.

The average figure is about 9.5 cm (3.75 inches). Of course, it's true that some men have big penises and some have smaller ones, just as some men have small feet and some have big feet, but the measurement is not – repeat not – an index of virility.

With track it is because the clothing would get in the way of the aerodynamics. Women don't wear bikinis to play tennis, but wear all types of outfits. Because volleyball is a game that is enjoyed on the beach in the US most of the time, most players will play in bathing suits. It follows that professional players would not want clothing to get in their way while playing. If you pay attention, male volleyball players don't wear much either.

For movement. With long sleeves or long pants, the material would tend to stick to the body when sweating and it interferes with them stretching for that goal or reaching for that high ball. It would impaired their movements.
Has nothing whatsoever to do with sex.
Men shave when they do the swim in the Olympics. Reason? cause the hairs on their legs and underarms tend to slow them down. Not cause they are gay.

Less clothes means better movement since there are less clothes in the way. The skimpy stuff just comes in with women who want to look skimpy.

If it is strictly for movement, why don't men just wear speedos? I don't see many men in these sports in a speedo. Maybe their nutsacks would swing around too much while they are jumping?

I assumed the players didn't want any movement impeded - unlike Horsewomen, fencers or skaters - their movements appear to be random and extensive.
