Very deep thought. It's the way you asked it. "Someone who thinks he is number one." Very different that someone who might actually have the ability and the presence to be numero uno. I've actually met girls who thought they were "10's". Take away that number one..... and what have you got?? I've met people that ran to be first in line..... only to find out that the powers at be decided to start with the person at the end of the line first. I've met people that were so competitive as they fought to be the best..... that they were left with zero friends. I think keeping many of these things in mind, I would have to agree with your statement. Someone who thinks he is number one is merely one number away from being a zero.

not necessarily because in a countdown in a copetition in the places it would go something like
5 4 3 2 1 and first place is the best

i guess that is where that saying comes from
number one is only one and there isn't room for anybody else

but i see what your saying lol u have a good point

Oy..I would rather be number one then number two...crap..then my life might go down the toilet..but being number one I must be careful not to piss it away, especially my liquid assets. Nothing would be left: zippo, nada, goose egg.

Depends, if he brags about being number 1, then yes it is true, but if he is modest about it, then no
