This is the most common scam out there right now...what will happen is they will tell you that you won an international lottery and will send you a check...they will ask you to send them back some money (via wire transfer or some thing that you will be unable to stop payment on). They will take that money and the check they gave you will be no good. You will be out the money they sent you and the money you sent them. The forged checks are so good looking many bank tellers cannot tell they are fake unless they hear the back ground story behind how you got the check (sometimes the story is as important to the checks authenticity as the actual check).
Don't fall for this!

This is a another variant of Nigerian Scam. They will ask you for courier money to send you the prize money. Thousands of people get duped like this. Old nigerian scams are like this " Hi..i am the wife of mr so and so who was a dectator of Logos.he has accumulated 50 million dollars which i want to send it to your country for investment...etc.

Lottery winners are NOT notified via email. This is a scam. Ignore it completely, especially if they want any money 'up front' to 'process your winnings". You will never see the winnings, but you WILL lose any money you send to them.

FAKE FAKE FAKE! If you didn't enter a lottery, how can you win it? They will tell you that you have to pay the taxes on your winnings first so please send them a check. And they'll cash your check and you'll never hear from them again.
