Be careful if making any changes in the Windows folder, as this is where the operating system is stored and altering it could affect the stability of your O/S.

That being said, the Windows folder is the spot where you installed Windows. If you chose the default location, it should be on your C: drive.

On the Start button, right click and select the "Explore" option.

In the folders on the left side, locate the one that says "Local Disk (C:)" and click on the plus (+) sign beside it. If there is a minus (-) beside it, that means the folder is already open.

Scroll down the folders list until you see one called "WINDOWS". Click on the plus (+) symbol beside that to open the folder and show its contents.

There should now be a nice long list of subfolders listed there along with perhaps a bunch of "$NtUninstall" folders at the beginning.

That is all I can tell you at this point, because you have not specified what you want to do in the C:\Windows folder. If you update your question to include details of why you are looking in that folder, then perhaps someone can direct you further.

Chances are you can see it residing in your C: hard drive, but the folder is not accessible. In order to change this, press the Windows key and the E combination. This will bring up the Windows File Explorer. In the Tools menu, select Folder Options. After the dialog box pops up, select the View tab.

In about the 4th box down in the list, make sure the box is checked that says "Display the contents of system folders."

You may also want to check the boxes that will show you hidden files and system files as well. However, if you are not an advanced user, and you think you may delete a file because you don't know what it does, you probably should not do this. Because if you allow the computer to "show" these files, when you navigate in the file explorer thoughout your hard drive, you will see extra files in every folder. And whereas these were once not visible to you, they will be now. And if you don't know any better, you will probably want to delete them. Don't!
