I am an M.A,M.Phil in Eng and want to add to my qualifications What should i go for?I dont want B.Ed/ Ph.D?

Presently i am teaching IELTS students. I am very much interested in teaching profession. Please suggest something related to my field

do a short one-year M.A.T. (Masters of arts in teaching). You get certified to teach public school and trained for the classroom.

Get an M.A. in rhetoric and writing. YOu can teach college writing courses but probably never get tenure without a phD.

Get a M.S. in Technical and Scientific Communication. MAke 80 K a year writing manuals and webcontent for big corperations like Sony or Ford.

I've been a middle school teacher for nine years, and you will have to take some education courses and take your state's certification test in the area you want to teach in. The "No Child Left Behind" act requires all teachers to be highly certified in the areas that they teach. It really depends on what state you live in so you need to check with your state's Dept. of Education because some states will let you teach with a provisional until you get certified. In addition, look into the program Teach for America.

' you did M.Phil in English.Why don't you do Phd .improving qualification is good idea. then you will be appointed as a lecturer . even if you do not get the job you will be in a position to stand on your own. B Ed is essential to teach lower classes .you are qualified to teach higher classes. first do Phd. it is my sincere advise. best of luck.
