No, if anything with today's turmoil I foresee a greater split. Many people are split down political, financial, and religious lines now more than ever. With the way lines are being drawn in the sand lately I only see that divide growing larger.

Ahh! the dream of our fore fathers! We will probably also be speaking Spanish with English as a second language, but best to hedge your best and learn a bit of Arabic and some Chinese too for the future.

no, it would be boring. all the different monorities, ethnics, and cultures make america truly america. i'm with the salad bowl idea of american culture. all differen cultures come here and gets mixed together, but still keep their own cultural identities.
