The best way to get gp in the game is to develop your skills. Don't try buying your way into them either you just lose cash that way. Most of the skills augment each other, like mining supports smithing,crafting (gold, silver & gems ), construction ( limestone & clay ), runecrafting ( essence ) & such. The so called guide sites don't really say anything that isn't common sense.
Don't try one of those selling gp sites. Their illegal. Jagex moniters them & there's a good possibility that you'll get banned after spending your real world money. Losing your money & character that you've spent lots of time on isn't worth the risk.
If you need gp and don't have time to develop the skills yourself perhaps you could try merchanting. There are lots of high level players that make stuff only to high alkie because they don't have time to sell att the stuff they make. I personally sell a lot of my stuff to my lower leveled friends at a discount & let them sell it and keep the profits. I end up making a little more on the item and don't have to use up so many runes by alkieing it & they get the extra cash they make as well.
