Run to what? But I have to admit, the Turnpike has a mistique to me. Sometimes when I'm driving it (and I do so nearly every day for work) I look at all the cars with different license plates from various states and wonder where they are going to or coming from and think: "I could just keep driving." Where to? I don't know, but that is some of the lure. But I'd want to take my husband and my dogs with me. It is not THEM I'd be running from.
Good question! Here's a Star.

Hehehe i did that... i moved to the other side of australia cos i just wanted to get away, maybe earn more money, more challenges, etc.....
- i spent all my money moving over here
- i havent had work for the past 6 months, and now im employed im overqualified for and underpaid
- the car broke down on the way over and there was no reception
- It started raining and the place we were staying at had leaks in the roofs
- I no longer have my family and friends
-the place we are renting atm had the stove blow up and they arent fixing it cos they recon its our fault.
- Its way more expensive day to day to survive.
Dont make the same mistake i did.... make sure its a safe move.

If I had money with me, France. I've always wanted to go there and although I haven't spoken French in a year or so, I still know the language pretty well. I just want to go drink some wine, enjoy a really good dessert, and wander around someplace different.

My geographical cure is working pretty well, given the insane emphasis on "work." I'll just take a short jaunt to the back of my peaceful 30 acres alone, thanks. The fish in my big pond will soon know the meaning of "PWND!"

Yes to a small town near the water - maybe the Pacific Northwest or New England.

I'd run away to New York City. Easy place to get lost, and beautiful, too. What more could an escapee want?

I have many times, never gotten further than another county. None the less, leaving behind an old tired situation can be just the boost you need

Yeah, when I was a teenager, but never did.
Today, well I live in Germany (I'm German), I would go to the USA, Canada, UK or Ireland. But not right now, in a few years maybe.
