I know this is in the Orlando section but there was no Tampa?

Is Hyde Park a bad section of Tampa?

Hyde Park is a very desire able older neighborhood. it is also very expensive. It is close to downtown with stately water front mansions along the bay and old Florida houses, bungalows and cottages in the network of streets west of Bayshore Blvd. There is a village-style shopping center in the heart of Hyde park. There is a sprinkling of older and newer condos throughout the neighborhood.

Although I am in Orlando and not very knowledgeable about Tampa, I do read their newspaper and it seems that Hyde Park is not a bad section, just a bit older-more established which can be a good thing!
