Death never did scare me until my husband died 4 years ago and ever since then I have been afraid of a lot of things......people, the dark and death.
No one really knows how much you want to live until you are faced with death.....and it comes out in such an odd way for each person.....
Deep down I am a fighter......I used to be stubborn and would not give up on anything......now I give in a lot more than I used to.....the idea of death still scares me but I do know that I am going home to My Father so I know that when my Journey is over here on earth my new Journey starts in Heaven and Jesus will come and get me as soon as I cross the finish line.

From life
Beyond death
To life
Even if there is no life beyond existence death does not scare me as that which makes me what I am will not die, the Good I have done while breathing air will continue to be part of the sum total of humanity, and that Good is more important than waht happens to the 'bag of mainly water' called a body that I am carrying that Goodness in!
Be, well
Buff.

Although I'd love to say that it doesn't scare me...trust me it scares the hell out of me... I'm afraid that when my time comes I might not have done everything that I wanted to...I'm also afraid that I may not be ready to deal with the after-life...like what if there really is a hell and a heaven? It scares me that I'm not a 100% sure on where I'd end up....I'm also terrified to die alone... I want it to be when I'm reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly old lets say 107 and over that...but I want to have people that I love around me... I don't want to be alone or in some hospital room. It scares me to think that i just might not be ready to die...yet it's not up to me now is it (?)

It is of our journey that you speak? For life in of itself is a passage of time, what are we to experience beyond the days we spend here on this earth?
If the Phoenix can rise from the smoldering ashes so too can we evolve beyond the trappings of the common body, the spirit never dies yet the body does perish.
Death is not the end of life nor is life the end of death, it is simply a change of state.

I don't have a strong belief in afterlife, but I do think that life as we know it is only the very first part of our journey. Therefore, I'm actually somewhat excited to see what else is in store for us, whether it be reincarnation or anything else. It still seems little scary at times, though!

It is absolutely another step in the journey. If you know where you are going then death is nothing to be afraid of.

I was in a car accident about 27 years ago. I wasn't expected to make it. My fiancee didn't. I don't remember as much as one hour before, to three days later. But there is one thing I remember vividly. I remember sitting in the lap of God and looking at my fiancee, who was laying on the grass. He (my fiancee) told me he wasn't coming back with me but that I would be alright. The day after they took me off the Respirator the doctor was about to tell me that he had died when I told him I already knew. He asked me how I knew, because no one was to say anything about it.
Death doesn't scare me because Heaven is a beautiful place.

I welcome death for the simple fact that its a release from all the death and hatred in the world now-a-days.You might think I'm suicidal because I welcome death, but let me explain I think that when we die (if you are Christian and follow God's rules) we will go to Heaven which is a fate better than anything. However, I love my life and would hate to leave everything behind but it would be worth it.

It doesnt scare me cuz its inevitable and you dont need to waste energy on things you cant change. So I look to live everyday as much as I can before I no longer can do the things that so many of us take for granted.
