I've been working my azz off for the past five months to get in really good shape. I finally got the six pack abs and am down to my smallest waist size in years. My wife complains about it all the time. She tells me that I should gain weight. She even tries to temp me with bad foods that she knows I love but don't eat anymore. What's her deal? I thought women liked a well built man. I'm confused, I feel and look better than I have in years an she doesn't like it. Any ideas people?

Sounds like she is insecure and afraid that you will start attracting other women and she maybe worried that you will leave her. I

well
I'm not sure...but the only possible reason would be:

1. Your wife could be jealous....as in she doesn't want you to look well built, because it makes her feel worse about herself. If this is the reason, talk to her about it, and help her to get in better shape. It's obviously not impossible since you've just done it.

2. Your wife could be being paranoid that your new body would attract other women, and you would go off with them for whatever reason. If this is the reason, assure her that your love is only there for her. Recreate your first date, wedding, or something a bit simpler if you don't have the time. A simple present and card saying that you love her will do.

3. This is the least likely reason...but still possible. Maybe she really DOESN'T like your new built body, for whatever reason. If that's the case....talk to her about it. But when you discuss it, you should be able to keep your new, hard earned body. It's your body after all, not hers. If she loved you, she wouldn't care what you look like (though usually this goes the other way around...lol).

Well, good luck with that. I don't know why you would put this in marriage and Divorce, since a strong relationship doesn't break apart because of appearences. Don't have any doubts- just discuss the matter with her and make sure that you tell her you want to and will keep your new, built body. Unless you don't like it.

well personally, I think every man should have a gut, not like a huge santa clause gut lol but I don't know 6 pack abs on guys just seems kind of sissy to me. I'm in good shape so it's not like I'm hating on people who are all cut and stuff but some women just prefer thier man to be, well, a man, just not really caring too much ya know. I'd give the best answer to "tennis guy". He pretty much hit all the possible answers.

I'm a woman who doesn't find six packs quite as attractive as a flat pack and then some. I really like men with something soft to grab on to. Maybe she is just like that? Another theory is that she may feel like her body is not good enough for you because now you have the rock solid physique. Ask her!

I don't like six packs....sorry. I don't like a hard man, not very comfortable to cozy up to. I don't mind my man being a little built, but there better be some cushion between me and that muscle.

Maybe she just wants a guy that is a little thick. My advice is leave her and come my way, I can appreciate a guy with a six pack!

Me and my man are both bodybuilders and constantly compete with each other.....not in looks obviously because he is a man and i am a woman but as far as diet and crazy stuff like drinking our tuna shakes (deep squaters know what I'm talking about! LOL!!)....hilarious!

maybe she is jealous? Who knows! LOL!

Maybe she is afraid she won't be able to keep you now that you are so toned! Does she take care of herself? You could try suggesting working out together. My hubby and I do and it can get really intense!!!!

She should be supporting you in your feat (congrats by the way). More than likely she is feeling threatened by your new found figure and doesn't want you catching the eye of someone else~

She might be worried you'll look hotter then her, or that you'll go looking for a younger model.
