its mot th splined version, rather th sort thats held on with large nut and tab washer. tried locking the wheel with brakes but still didn`t budge. is the large net a reverse thread, left handed if u prefer to call it so?

IT IS NOT REVERSE THREAD!
It is regular right hand thread.
Counter Clockwise to loosen.
Unbend the lock tab of the washer.
1/2" drive air impact wrench.
OR
1/2" breaker bar.
OR
Put the bike in first gear (helps to keep the countershaft from moving).
Get someone to stand on the brake pedal (to lock the R wheel).
Get someone to hold the wrench on the nut (so the wrench won't slip off).
Hit the wrench with a hammer (before hitting it, turn the wrench as much as possible to remove the slack in the chain).

reverse thread. insert a screw driver into the hole of the bolt on one side to hold it in place while removing the nut on the other side.
