I think if you like the name so much, you should stick with it because listening to everyone else's opinion on what they think about the name just make things confusing for you. I think the name is very unique, very pretty- I never heard anyone with the name- & I don't think she'll bumb into another Luella. Luella Jane sounds really nice together. As a mother of 4 my hubby &I always picked a few names & did our own- except the middle names, its really fun doing it, but it can be a lil' stressful too because you always got people giving their opinions about the names you pick & how they sound, it just makes it confusing. My kids names are Kid #1 Brianette- pronounced Bria-net Amarys -Girl Kid #2 Yaniah- pronounced Ya-nai-ah Michelle- Girl Kid#3 Jaiel pronounced Ya-iel Alexander- Boy Kid #4 Amyda pronounced Ah-maida Lisette-Girl. Good Luck with your names.

I like Liliane Jane or Lily Jane would be more convenient, and is cute, too. Many people would mispronounce and incorrectly spell Luella Jane, so it would kind of be a pain.

Joella, Joela, Noela, Layla are some of the names that have roughly the same meaning; 'night' from Arabic. I'm sorry to say that I really don't care for Luella, reminds me of an eighty year old instead of a baby.

Is cute, but its the name of a fashion designer and a handbag, so it could look a little tacky. I adore the name Abby or Izzy. Try to think of names that are not to cute, remember the little girl will grow up and have to face the world with the name.

Luella isn't my cup of tea. How about Lola, or Lucille or Lucy?
