Pack it up and store it out of sight. I would give him a couple days and advise that if he doesn't come and retrieve it, it is going to Goodwill and he can buy it back there.

You don't say if you are married, divorced, live in. If you are divorced, then load it up and take it to his mothers, you no longer have to store his belongings. If you are sepearated, he sounds like he wants to have things there in case he wants to come back. Do you want him back, you act like you do. Call him and give him a choice of where you are going to take his belongings, then be done with it. Never throw his things out, but let him know you are not going to wait forever for him to make up his mind.

Box it up and leave it on his lawn/doorstep and be done with it. You could throw it out, but there is no need to be bad about it. Don't wait for him to come back if you have broken up. If it's broke, it's just broke. Let it be and move on.
One chance per person per lifetime. An argument is one thing, and breaking up is something else, so if you've broken up, it's over, so let it die.

send him a certified letter to get his stuff by a certain date.
some ex leaves stuff at ex girlfriends/wife stuff for any excuse to come and drop by. he wants power.
you are no longer responsible. and should not be keeping his stuff. call an attorney too, and have them write a note stating what you want removed by your x. take pictures if you must. and change your locks, so he doesn't drop by and come in.

Hes keeping his options open by leaving his belonging there. Make a clean break, leave his clothes on his mothers door step, that should make your feelings clear and give him the message

If its over between you guys, his stuff needs to be out. Box it up and if you are able to, take it to the place he is living.

Are you married or not? I'd dump his sh!t off at his mom's. Your gone, and I'm not the "Pack Rat" Storage facility, would be my motto.
