There are no endings in real life situations. Endings are for stories. Life goes on, up and down. Our reason for living is to experience it all.

I do not know the term that could describe a viewpoint that always considers the end of everything as the ultimate of everything. I think life apart from having a beginning and an end, also has a long duration in between. The things that we do through out our life could matter more than what we may find manifest as an end. We for instance grow old, wrinkly and physically weak towards the end of our lifetime, but does that mean that there has not been normally a pleasant childhood followed by strenuous and passionate times of youth.

I give you an example to consider in this regard: imagine a football match. The team A scores a goal, lets say, at 15th minute into the play, then the team B in response scores their goal at 19th minute, but the team A strikes back and scores two goals at 30th and 40th minutes, and the final goal was scored at 55th minute by the team B; the team A the stayed at the top for the rest of the match with a superiority of 3-2.

The match then continues toward the end without any of the team scoring any more goals, both teams get exhausted, and the team A is no longer able to score any goal is resorts to full defence only. It seems that if just a few extras minutes are given, the team B might equal the score, but then the match come to the end of its playtime.

The team A was at its best somewhere in the middle of the match, and despite a bad performance towards the end won the match.

We live through our life and somewhere along that time comes the moment of victory, to be the best for the rest of our life, that if we do not do something very bad afterwards would take us onto the victory stand despite the fact the we become fail and weak towards the end - and end in view is not all that is there.

We don't actually choose whether to come into this world. Don't worry too much about the happy ending; there's an awful lot of water to pass under the bridge before the final curtain. Get the living right - do something positive that benefits someone else; that will give you a reason to live live to the full. Shalom

You can say that life can end happy or not. It depends on what situation a person is in to. We can have a happy ending if all the all our wants and needs are fulfilled. One can die happy by just being with their love ones. Sometimes it is not a happy ending because our purpose of living is to serve or be a steward in our God given world.

Well, I believe the happy ending is spending an eternity in heaven with Jesus. I don't care if you give me thumbs down. I'm happy now, and I will be extremely happy then. My reason for living is to enjoy the life God has given me on earth, and to look forward to more happiness after life.

Happy endings are a point of preference. As for the reasons we have free will. We make the reason as much as the result!

If the results of a real life situation help our survival, it can be considered to be a happy ending. If not, it is not as happy.

But the very meaning of our existence is SURVIVAL.

We must use our very last breath of air to gain more air.
Because life is all about this: SURVIVE OR BE DESTROYED

The choice is yours.

If you find suffering in life, then death is an end to suffering. If your life is a joy, death ends joy. So death is, in that sense, a zero-sum proposition; neither happy nor sad in itself, but only in relation to the life that is ended. Neither joy nor sadness are the purpose of life. For many, the purpose of life is to watch as much television as possible. For these souls I would think death is the greatest of blessings.

I think that we have to make our own happiness and this is possible. I believe that we grow up with a concept of happiness and this concept does not actually make us happy. So we have to grow and evolve and so does our concept of happiness.
