it says republique francaise with a women with no crown on one side...

on the other it says liberte egalite fraternite.... and 5 centimer 1994..

if its no longer in circulation... is it worth any money?

That would be a coin from France, with the equivalent denomination of a nickel (but worth less).

Once the Euro was introduced, the European member countries' currencies were taken out of legal circulation - so it's no longer used.

Despite that, it's not really worth very much other than for a trade-in. On a good day and for a very good coin, you might get 20 cents for it ( http://www.lefranc.net/francgb/lefranc0042.html ). The amount of coins struck that year was fairly significant, which lessens the value considerably...

By the way - the woman on the coin is supposed to be Marianne, a figure of the French Revolution ( http://www.abelard.org/france/marianne.php )

France. I'm no coin expert but it is doubtful that a coin this recent should have much value beyond the face value.
