How do you find out who's the supervisor/boss of the dean of students? and their boss until you get to the president?

You could look up your college/university catalog/website. Most likely, it's the Vice-President of Academic Affairs, then maybe a Chancellor, then finally the President.

Depends on the school. Some schools, especially smaller ones, the Dean of Students reports directly to the President. Some schools have vice presidents that deal with the deans, often a Vice President of the Provost, especially at larger schools.

Depends on the college. Sometimes there are Chancellors they report to. But if not, it's the President of the college. And good luck getting in contact with him/her.
