Here's the deal. My landlord wants to evict us by any means necessary. His newest thing is that there is a town ordinance saying that you can't rent boat slips in residential areas. The boats at the house are in my roomate's name. When we signed the lease my landlord wanted me to be the primary tenant and my roomate to be a sub-tenant. So we have a hearing on Tuesday where he's going to say that I'm renting the dock to this guy. It probably won't stick because he lives on the premises, but instead of taking my chances we think just adding my name to the titles will nip it in the bud. So can we just add me on and notorize it or do we have to re-register?

Is the dock mentioned in your lease? If it is lagally part of your lease and it comes with the property, you can let anybody park their boat there. What I guess if your roomate drives a car, they are not aloud to park it at the property either.

To answer your question though, you would have to have the registration and/or title changed. On the registration and/or title there is a key word you have to enter as well. That being either and or or. If you put and then both of you must sign to sell the boat. If you put or, either one of you can sign to sell the boat without the other one signing.

I don't think the courts will by it as the date show what your trying to do.If he is your roommate than he has the right of usage to the dock? He's not renting the dock just using it.Ok
