Yesterday, a 14 year old boy stopped by to swim in our pool. My husband and I were talking sitting on the porch. The kid was yacking away, everything out of his mouth rude and sexist. I brought him a snack hoping it would be seen as a truce. Then he asked my husband the very question you are asking. My husband replied, "Boy, you sure don't know when to stop talking." I didn't have to say a word, my husband buffered the child's remarks.

I suppose the percentage worth listening to for that 14 year old boy would have been the part that would have kept my husband from tossing his bike in the back of the truck and hauling his backside home. Shame for him, since our house is the meeting spot for the neighborhood kids.

men only say 500 words less. but its still around 15000 words per day per person (male of female). they dont talk much. men just dont notice themselves that they also talk a lot.
