emergency number is nine one one
they ask us not to refer to it as nine eleven as some people get frustrated in an emergency cause there is no 11 on there phone
now if you're talking Sept 11 2001 the nine eleven works there as you're talking a date that should never be forgotten as 3000 people died as the war against religion continued

In the Porsche brochures I have it is referred to as either Nine Eleven or 911.
However, when it was introduced it was called the 901. Peugot demanded they change the name because they already had a model 901. If you ever look at parts on 911's up to 1994 the parts are stamped 901.
