For Madeleine McCann, they were free for the taking, the shop weren't profiting from it in any way.
Although I found the initial out pouring of greif and the 'yellow ribbon mania' a bit sick, the fact this shop owner is still giving them away made me slightly sad.
What if it transpires that, as many suspect, there is more to the whole thing than meets the eye, how will all these decent and well wishing people feel? Are they being taken for a ride by the McCanns

Very brave question, have a star before some idiot reports you.
Of course people are being taken for a ride, its such a shame because so many people genuinely believe in the Mccann's and have parted with cash they needed themselves.
The problem is that not everybody is aware of the discrepancies in the Mcann stories, if they were, things would be a whole lot different. But that's down to Gordy Brown and our poodle media.

Yes Heather you are so right. Something hasn't added up since Madeleine went missing. I do not trust the McCanns what so ever. I can not help thinking there is a hell of a lot more to this then meets the eye. Time will tell. Also the McCanns are drawing the attention away from themselves the conning everyone. I can't wait until they run out of tricks and the real truth comes out.

The Mccann's have made a circus of the entire situation. The have played the sympathy card quite well with the public and those innocent, hard earned cash is being used to pay QC fees why? Why do they need a legal team in the first place? they say the fund collected is to be used to help find madeleine etc....how have the money they've spent to pay lawyers help in anyway? They aren't paying the portugese police as this is their job.....so again I ask why?

Why could you even care what share stickers somebody else has on thier van ? Does it harm you in any way ? possibly the motive force had one sticky label for each member of thier son or husbands Platoon. I merely does not see the obsession that Liberals have with the yellow stickers. they seem to think of that the stickers themselves are evil. I wager ya if she had 38 rainbow gay stunning stickers, you does not be making a submit approximately it.

There is certainally a lot more to this than meets the eye and when it transpires i believe all the kind hearted people will never donate money to anyone and be sickened ....
My 89 year old grandma donated her weekly pension and left herself short because she wanted to help find maddie ..

The McCanns havent been straight up with anyone about anything. Yet they then expect the whole world to bend over backwards to help them.
Remember, how often have you seen them doorknocking? Never.
How often have you seen them searching a field or abandoned properties? Never.
Have you seen them use the disappearance to see the Pope and meet foreign dignitaries? Yes.
Seems to me they want the nice cushy roles involved in this 'search' but arent prepared to roll up their sleeves and do the hard graft like they expect everyone else to do.
But of most concern is the million pounds that has been donated? How much of that has already been squandered on QC fees?? How is a QC going to help find Maddy? People donated money to the fund in good faith assuming it would be used for a 'search' for Madeleine. Instead, they've just helped wealthy lawyers become even more wealthy and paid for the McCanns to have the longest summer holiday ever recorded.
The McCanns have a duty to open up their books and state exactly where the monies raised is going. That includes all airfares and accomodation expenses. They havent, and have no intention of doing so. All the scorn that is coming their way is entirely of their own doing for being so cagey about everything. When it all comes out in the wash, a few people are going to be very surprised by the result.

In this media age, everything is spun, and spoon fed to the public. It will end in disillusion and Miss-trust.The fact that you think the Madeleine case is not clear cut, is testament to this. Just look at Labour! Once bitten twice shy, but it doesn't do society any good.

The ribbons are for Maddie, not the parents.
If you feel you have been taken for a ride, that actually has nothing to do with a missing child.
You could have taken a yellow ribbon and worn it with respect.
PS It actually came from Tony Orlando's song Tie a Yellow Ribbon - a song about a prisoner returning to his home town. It's a sign of seperation and hope.
