However the FX series cards are very old tech- only used these days for secondary display adapters, or in old PCI systems that don't have AGP or PCI-Express slots.

For good performance in modern applications and games, you'd want at least a generation newer like the GeForce 6600 (although Nvdia has since moved on to the 7000 and most recently, 8000 series of cards)
