companies can insist that you as an employee do not smoke outside their premises. They can not insist that a member of the public refrain from smoking outside their premises but they can as soon as they enter their land. I do not see how this can be an issue, your own common sense should tell you that a cigarette smoking gang of layabouts hanging about outside the main entrance does not help the Company image

No it does not, People go outside for Smoking Breaks and they have special Metal Boxes set in the wall to be used for Cigarette Butts. The same as most Pubs and Restaurants they also have these Boxes. With Pubs they sometimes have Shelters for Smokers outside their Premises some are very elaborate. Employers do not like their Workers Smoking ,but they cant seem to be able to stop them. Authorities in Various Cities and Towns do not like People Throwing Butts on the Pavement ,and you can be Fined if Caught by Litter Wardens. There is a Movement afoot to try and Prevent People from Congregating to Smoke outside Premises, The Authorities and Companies and Shops and Restaurants are getting very Hot under the Collar about this they say it is affecting Trade with all the Pollution and People Hanging around. So there is a Possibility that some time in the Future they might try and Ban People from Smoking outside Premises.

i've got faith the ban is to help save greater human beings from being uncovered to the cancer stick! it truly is interior the air in a greater constrained area so it effects everyone. there's no such ingredient as a smoking and non-smoking area. The smoke does not know obstacles. I grew up with a mom who smoked. it truly is unhappy which you will get so hooked on it that the well being of your toddler truly does not count. I even have bronchial asthma and so does my son. we could desire to constantly have the flexibility to bypass to public places and have the flexibility to breath nicely.

I`m almost sure it`s worded premisses this would include any property owned by the company ie; car parks + pathways inside the works premmisses. if you were sat in your own car on works ground I don`t know how that would work.

Companies/employers can ask you not to smoke directly outside the premises - it doesn't look good for business does it really!.
