looking for a new mmo?

I am looking for a new mmo to play. I want an mmo that is more gear oriented then leveling so which one out of these games wow, coh/cov, swg, or guild wars are gear oriented?

WoW is highly gear oriented. Not only dose the game have great drops but it has a highly advanced crafting system. With a wide variety of gear able to be made from low level weapons to near epic plate armor. Questing in the game can also yield some very useful gear. With most of this gear being immediately equip-able.

Much like DiabloII, Blizzards early MMORPG gear is very important but so are skills. There is no doubting that gear matters. A tank with 10k armor is going to take more damage than one with 20k. The priest with 9000 mana can do more than one with 5000. After my guild ended up with several players having Tier 2 gear, it was certainly much easier to handle Upper Blackrock Spire. So yes, gear has a huge impact.

Back to crafted gear. This type of gear is created form recipes which can be learned from trainers (low sell able value, while other recipes are found as drops or quest rewards (higher value). All classes of armor can be crafted: cloth (tailors), leather (leather workers), mail and plate (blacksmiths). Weapons can also be crafted. Melee weapons are mainly made by blacksmiths while enchanters can create some magic weapons the can also enchant blacksmiths crafted weapons to make them more valuable.
