hey you roar of the lion
i think you worked pretty hard to get all facts against sachin but think again
how the hell you suppose a person to finish a match if he is opening for your team 95%of the time
lara and inzamam for most part of their career came in the middle order and thats when you can finish the match
when sachin scored 139 in the semifinal against australia in sharjah india lost the match just due kanitkar's slow batting in the end on gaekwad's orders as india had already qualified for the finals
and guess what in the final sachin scored 142 and india won the cup
and just see the number of innings lara has played in tests and not the matches if you want to compare it with sachin
in 2003 it was sachin fast batting that gave the impetus to india to win the match
see the level of consistancy of lara which is much worse than sachin's
he does play one or two blinders in between but you cant say it makes him the best and if anybody says its ponting who is champ just think how many matches would he have won if he would have played for india or west indies in the 90s(when sachin played for most part of his carrer)
even i think sachin is not the undisputed champ
but he is certainly at par when it comes to comparing with the all time bests

There is no doubt about it , he is a real champ. The reason is he reads the approaching ball a little earlier than others and that power now a days is in a descending phase which is inevitable because of ageing. But his vast experience and the batting prowess what he still has is enough to justify his inclusion in in our team.

I think he is a real champ. He has made 40+ ODI hundreds and 36 test hundreds. He has been playing since 16 years. He is a team player. Whenever the team needs him, he comes to rescue the team, whether in batting or bowling. He not only supports but also encourages junior players in the team to do well. Hence he is the golden boy of India

I saw the others answers and I think they are wrong If he was selfless then he would have retired much before . he plyed well in his early days but now he should leave a slot for the youngsters. For me was a real champ but now he is underperfoming.

He is defenitely a champion. One must appreciate that no player can play the same level throughout his carreer and therfe may be ups and downs in the carreer of each player and Tendulkar is no exception

why not he is a great player and a real champ.everyone says he had never performed when needed ,but i think he is not the single batsman in the team ,if u think so then put 10 bowlers and sachin in the team.finally please dont blame him because he is what he is.
