It's easy enough to check, contact Radisson's personnel division. According to this website Radisson Lagos is only opening in August 2008.

Also, Lagos is not as bad as Port Hartcourt. It's not safe by any stretch of the imagination either. What work do you do that is so specialized they want you in Nigeria? They pay the Nigerian's practically nothing and they can do just about anything.
If I receive anything from Nigeria, my first thought is fraud. And, there are those criminals that lure Americans there just to kidnap them and get ransom. Very, very corrupt country.

Are you planning on living there? Did you apply for a job there? If you didn't then why would they be offering you a job?
Unless you applied to work there then it's a scam, probably a false check scam, you get checks sent through the post and you cash them sending half back. you get left with the problem a month later when the back finds out they a frauds.

FIRST OFF HAVE YOU APPLIED FOR A POSITION WITH ANY OF THE RADISSON HOTELS IF YOU HAVE YOU MAY WANT TO FOLLOW UP JUST TO SEE IF THE ONE YOU APPLIED WITH REFEREED YOU TO THIS ONE, IF SO GET A POINT OF CONTACT AND FOLLOW UP, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERTINENT INFORMATION TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU ARE VERY SURE THEY ARE FOR REAL. If not then it is probably a scam.
If you did apply then I'd precede with caution. If at all possible fill out the information in person at the hotel instead of sending your personal info over E-mail.
