I have a gigabyte GA-7VM400M motherboard. I am intending to buy a NVIDIA GeFORCE 6200 TC 256 MB PCI-E GPU. So i would like to know if my motherboard will support it. If yes, then please tell me where to insert the card in my motherboard. Also, are there any minimum specifications needed for this card to work like RAM,CPU etc.

no it will not , that motherboard is a agp slot type, and you have a pci-express style video card. as for extra needed ram or what not , no worries about it if you get a motherboard to fit it , it will improve the speed of the computer by reducing the amount of ram used to the grafics. however more ram, and faster cpu's are always a good thing ..

Nope, your motherboard has 8X AGP slot, not a x16 PCIe slot.

Possible options:
Cheap: ATI 9600 Pro or Geforce 7300GS AGP
Better: 7300GT AGP, ATI X1650 Pro AGP, 7600GS AGP
Fast but expensive: ATI X1950 Pro AGP or 7950GT AGP.

1Gb RAM is optimum when using Win XP.
