Take my hint way down the bottom I know.. and check out the other guys question box he has already asked many questions and got lots of answers that will help you, for example the speed of the earths movement at the equator

edit decided to paste it anyway, note I was wrong about blacking out...
Answered a similar question recently,
Earth is spinning. The only thing keep the earth together is gravity. The second you flick of the switch really bad stuff happens. Everything that was held down now gets flung away. I wouldn't last that long before I hit the roof but then you would black out anyway due to the acceleration no matter where you are. It is important to not the speed of moving away would be relative to your position on the earth. Rotational axis very little, equator rocket-time.
But humans aren't all that interesting anyway.
The earth has a crust with liquid magma beneath and a molten iron core. The crust is to a small extent solid so it wouldn't immediately fly into space.
The oceans have a problem though, all the worlds water would surge to the equator where it would collide and spout into space. Cosmic water show, cool.
Core stuff. That largely round iron core having greater density then the magma would instantly slump into a disc. The magma as well would try to move out towards the equator but would be hindered by that crust thing.
Then the pressure would release when the crust breaks along the plate lines. Molten magma would spew out and into space taking peices of the crust with it.
The easiest way to veiw this would be to stand on an egg. The forces are a bit different but it all works the same. Pressing down makes the egg bend a fraction too much breaks it. The speed and mass of the earth has amazing centrifugal power probably in less than a second the earth will be a disc shaped expanding collection of debris.
Any good?
The guy who flicked the switch will get a great show!

Hint - go to this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... look up the askers questions and he is probably doing the same project and has asked numerous questions about this and got some good answers
Also try physics instead you may get more good answers

Because of Inertia, Objects will Not "Float Off", if that is what you are Thinking. I'll go on the Assumption that we will Ignore Tectonic Stresses on the Planet itself.

The Tides would be the Worst, as the Oceans are Pulled by the Moon's Gravity, offset by Earth's, so a Sudden Swell, and Drop would cause Tsunami. The Moon would Shift Outwards a bit, and thus have a Longer Orbital period. Sudden loss of all Satellites that would be Destabilized in their Orbits. Minor effects on Other planets.

Moving vehicles depending on Friction-Cars, Trains, etc, would lose Control(crashes depending on circumstances), Planes would Suddenly Gain Altitude(lack of an offset to Lift). Boats(except speedboats-see friction) would probably not notice a few Seconds.

Hydrogenating Plants would Slow or Stop, based on Construction. Also any Motor Processor with a Gravity dependent Feed system would Jam. Clocks with Pendulums will be Off Time. Manufacturing Plants would be a Mess, as Conveyor Belts, Bins, and Feeds fail to Transport items Properly.

People(and animals) would be Disoriented in their Steps-Inner Ear determines Balance based on Gravity. They wouldn't Fall until after the Anomaly, but Most would After. Spider webs would have a Glitch in them.

Things with Gears, Pumps, Cables, Electronics, and other Non-gravity based tech will Function like Nothing happened.

nicely a great form of the trolls are beginning off to circulate away so with a bit of luck this might supply up, have some greater regulars come back and then %. drop and the hockey section would be great back Anaheim, SJ, Dallas, NYR, Philly and washington all have 6players making over $4million

Someone else asked that question.

First off, you'd suddenly feel the 2,000 MPH speed at which we turn, you'd be knocked off your feet and float and hit the ground and bounce off it, hit the walls of your house and be stuck there like clothing in the spin cycle of a washer.

The air would probably rise off the surface and vanish into space. Then water would start to boil away.

The Earth would probably be as dead as the moon within 10 seconds.

What is the point of this far-flung hypothesis? Stuff like this isn't going to happen. What are you learning here? There is no analogy in the universe like the one you propose. It is a pure fantasy, science fiction, not science.

For a few seconds there would be 6 billion very confused people.

Gravity is the attraction that mass has for other mass . There is no mechanics that could cause the collapse .

all water including oceans can go a bit far and when earths gravity come back again the water can spread to a imortant place and demolish it
