I think there will always be those who are stringently pro-life but there is a large number of conservatives who are and have always been pro-choice. I am a conservative and I despise the practice of abortion but I do not think abortion should be illegal.

There are a lot of conservatives out there who are not anti-abortion, just like there are many liberals who might not support everything that their party platform stands for.
We have laws in place and it amazes me that this is an issue that continues to be brought up time and time again.
