Clean vacuum tubes with a vacuum cleaner.

Seriously, though, why not just use a paper towel dampened with a window cleaner, like Windex? That won't harm glass or plastic and should do the job. Use ammonia, not alcohol. Alcohol is likely to dissolve the printed numbers on the tubes.

Windex would be good. I don't think that the 70% Isopropyl would hurt but if you can get 90% pure that would be better. Just make certain that the radio is off, AND HAS BEEN OFF for about an hour before you do this unless you remove the tubes. The power supply filter capacitors can take a very long time to discharge and you could be zapped by the plate B+.

Anything other than a wipe with a dry cloth or soft tissue to take the dust off is going to erase the markings.
