I have gotten everything I ever wanted professionally speaking and seem to lose everthing in my peronal life. I'm 24 and I've falied at noe one but two marriages. I seem to find women who say they love me and then treat me like sh*t. I thought I gave them what they wanted, love, house, kids, money, I'm not out of shape I work out all the time, compasion. Just never seems to be good enough. My last wife told me I wasnt giving her the "fairy tale" marriage she expected. I dont understand why I can excel so much in one and suck so bad in the other. I think I'm destined to never get married - settle down - I dont know anymore - I thought I did I have always been a confident guy but......

24!!??? Jeez, don't lose hope yet! Just slow down a bit, at 24 you're probably getting involved with GIRLS as opposed to WOMEN.

Looks like you're really on the fast track professionally (which is great) but you can't expect everything in the world to be like that.

Relax, have some fun. Figure out what kind of woman you want. Athletic...join a rock climbing group, maybe you'll meet someone there. Artistic...take some group music lessons or a drama class. Smart....join a book club.

There's lots of places to meet nice girls but SLOW DOWN! You don't have to marry a girl just because she says she loves you!

Maybe you should say to yourself....I'm not getting married until I'm at least 29 and take some of the pressure off your self to do everything so quickly.

First of all, you are being too hard on yourself. It takes two people to make a marriage successful. Although you say you have failed at two marriages-- you really have not failed but have had two very difficult life lessons that you need to learn from. I think part of your problem is you are meeting the wrong type of women. Maybe you need to find someone who is as career motivated as you are. Next time, I would date for years before marriage. You have been married 2 times and only 24 which makes me think you are jumping in a little too soon. I am 30 been divorced once. I am now remarried but I dated my husband now for four years before I would marry him. Take your time to find the right person and in the meantime enjoy life and do some nice things for you. When you do finally find the right person and decide to get married take the time and write out a list of expectations. After you discuss the list then make a final decision regarding marriage. Put the list in a safe place it may help you later through a difficult patch. Most importantly, it will make marriage life easier knowing what each expects. Good Luck!!!

When you find the right girl, you will have a wonderful married life. Do you put all your efforts into your professional life? That takes time from the married/personal life. Ive already lost one marriage and countless relationships because i wanted to have a career. Finally met a man that understand where i am coming from and is working towards the same goal. We have been together 6 years and we hardly ever see each other, but we both knew in the beginning that our relationship was only an affair to our career choices.

Make a list of what you do within your profession as in what you will accept and not accept in the workforce etc. etc.

Then make a list of what you do in personal relationships. How to you find these woman> How long do your get to know them before you say the "L" word? How much do you put into the relationship and how much are you getting back in the relationship BEFORE yoo get married. Do you buy things all the time for women? Do you feel you are ONLY complete if someone is in your life? Do you have problems in just being with yourself without having a woman OR do you feel you need a woman in your life?

Once you start comparing how you do things in your professional life and never sacrifice anything to succeed in your professional career and then look at your personal life, you just may find the answer.

Good luck!

Some women thing marriages should be fairy tale. Sorry but marriages are not a fairy tale. There will be ups and downs. You need to get a woman who is realistic about how marriages are. You make them what you want from them. There can be happiness, love and wonderful things that happen in a marriage. But with realistic views.
