Yes! Im fro the south and that's a name that I have heard before. There are so many unique names out there now. I went to school with a girl named Brooklyn, a girl named Red. That was her name. Also a young guy named Aviator. Here is just a list of names that were used. Precious, Angel Love, Love, Red, Brooklyn, Common, Aviator, Bendit, (My old neighbor's son's name is Natiuca, seriously). People use the bizzarest names now. So dont worry about it. I thnk Blue is pretty cute!

I think it's a lovelly name. I've heard of the name Bluebell for a girl and it as a nickname. Everyone's heard of the name Violet so why not Blue?!

I think what people forget is that many names are made up. Although there are many which originate from the Bible (which real or not is one of the worlds oldest manuscripts) there are many names which started out as unusual but are now common. That is how names have always been created so why not be one of the first in the trend.

Examples: Bianca is a common name but is actually Italian for White. Ruby and Scarlet are shades of Red. Just because it's uncommon now doesn't mean it will be in 5 years time.

I don't think I've ever heard of this name - but a name is just a name. What counts is the person behind the name. According to Gertrude Stein, "a rose is a rose is a rose." This interprets to mean "things are just what they are." This expresses the fact the simply using a name already invokes the imagery and emotion associated with it.

Cher, the singer named her son Elijah Blue. I wish parents would give a little more thought to the first gift they give their children. They must grow into it. Some of the names I see celebrities naming their kids make me wonder what their aspirations are for their kids. i think parents should imagine being 5 or 6 and having your friends scream that name out in a school yard.

I had an old hunting dog named Blue. I think its crazy, but I hear that alot of crazy names are popular for little boys these days. for example, Saw, Blade, Happy, Dagger, King, I think thats all crazy. In Tx there was a man named Hogg had a daughter he named her Ima.... I'ma Hogg....some people are heartless...or maybe they just dont think.
