Star Wars Episode 1. Waited years for it and, well, disappointment doesn't even begin to cover it!

Let me guess...you went to see a new movie, perhaps the new Harry Potter movie, and you were disappointed. Am I right? Am I right? Am I? Huh huh huh?
Okay, well, to answer your question, yes, I have been several times. Now I only go to the movies when it's at the matinee prices or when someone else is paying ;) :) I know, I'm a cheapskate. But if there's a chance it's going to bore me, why waste eight bucks on it when I could rent it for less than half that after it comes out on DVD?

Yes. For years I wanted to see the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. It was magnificent, but I was appalled rather than awed. My husband and I were standing on the back portico looking out at enormous oak trees that were positively dwarfed by this massive, ostentatious house, and I said, "Did George Vanderbilt never have one moment of self-doubt? Did he never say to himself, 'I wonder if I should spend all this money on a chateau or if I should do something less selfish with it?' "
It was odd to feel that way. I've never felt that way about palaces I've visited in Europe. But somehow I was shocked at the excess of this fellow American.
