Isn't "terrorism" the most self defeating phrase/label imaginable?

Doesn't its use - intill terror without anyone actually having to do anything?

If you are fighting lions who want to scare you, with their vocablury -why would you use it?

Why don't we just call it "wankerism"?

?

Orwell would have loved the nomad qualities of this word. Apply it to any one or anything and it immediately induces fear. Great word - but a politically lazy one too.

The British Establishment S/B, NATO, CIA and illuminati should all cause us far greater terror, but they will never be described as terrorist organisations, despite the fact that they cause more mayhem than any other terrorsit group in the world.

Terrorism is a term used to describe unlawful violence or other unlawful harmful acts committed (or threatened) against civilians by groups or persons for political or other ideological goals. Most definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear or "terror", are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target non-combatants.
