I'm gonna spend like 5 hours in a car driving (and also I just wanna fill up my ipod with good stuff) so I need some awesome song suggestions. please help me out, people.

i like new sorta stuff, like top 40ish, but also some old stuff (i'll admit it, i do have a few beatle songs on my ipod). i'm into just about anything - except death metal. also, i don't like songs with screaming in them. uh i sorta like rap but i have all the rap songs i want on my ipod, so please don't suggest all rap.

the type of music i like... uhh... well i like all types but mostly like pop/pop rock. some examples of bands i like are dashboard confessional, angels and airwaves, fountains of wayne, jimmy eat world, vanessa carlton, liz phair, blink 182 (but i have most of their stuff), weezer....

just suggest any awesome songs you know/love!! i'm open to anything (except really really hard rock with screaming, depressing songs, songs about killing yourself, you get the idea - i hate that sort of stuff)

thanks to everyone who's answered so far.... but by the way i don't like linkin park, metallica, or nirvana. just some examples of stuff i DON'T like. that's too heavy/hard rockish for me.

Maybe you'd like a band called Everclear... some of their good songs are "Unemployed boyfriend" and "Normal Like you". Some of their music is kinda depressing tho.

Have you heard Blink-182's song "M&m's"? It's good.

Try Matchbox Twenty. Some of their good songs are "Unwell", "Disease", and "Push".

Hope this helps!!
