The paycheck is the same every time, even if there is a holiday.

Assuming the paychecks are equal this is correct. However you may have a case where you are paid for the hours worked(or scheduled) in the pay period, which may vary from month to month. The variation is due to the length of months and the number of weekdays in the each month.

Dividing by 80 (2x40hrs) is one way. A more accurate way is to assume an average of 22 working days per month, this allows for odd month lengths and public holidays. So (Gross x 24) to give annual salary. (22*8*12) = hrs per year (2112). So hourly rate is (Grossx24)/2112.

The easy way is to divide your check by the number of hours worked. Are you serious or just checking if we are paying attention?
