not many....it also depends on the size of the fish and the type of fish.Very important is also the feeding habits. How much u feed the fish also has equal importance.Also the filtration u have in the tank counts a lot.
The better the filtration the more the fish can live disease free.
Water changes matter too...25% per week.
Dont forget that the bigger the tank,the less polluted it gets..so tank size does matter.
