Necessary evil....However I think the trust has gone..... I do think there are good and bad in all walks of life but some how its strange how our police force are suppose to be the best in the world yet when police officers are abusing their position their the last ones to see it or it takes a complaint to bring to be noticed....

You call 911 for a disturbance of the peace and all 4 units show up. They would never survive in New York City.

around here the real police officers are outnumbered 5 to 1 by PCSOs. doesn't that make you feel really safe??? LAst weekend there was about 30 of them just stood on a corner in the town centre watching 3 of the pubs in case we let people leave with drinks. Don't they have anything better to do?

I admire those policemen who are at the scene immediately at time of need. They have the guts to come to the front and act their parts. For the police force in our little town, i am sorry to say you would not see them 9 out of 10 times when there is immediate danger. They would appear in groups when there is no more apparent danger.

Our small police station closes late afternoon every day. When it is open the two fat constables just sit there drinking tea, they never get off their ar$es and do any patrols.
And it`s closed every weekend.

I think they do a very tough job. On one hand they have courts that dont prosecute criminals and let them out to commit more crime. On the other they have the public complaining they arent doing enough with the meager resources they have and not keeping the criminals off the street.
I dont think they can win.

You get the good ones and bad ones, i have come across some who i really believe shouldnt even be in the job. I have also met some who are excellent :).

Despite of all their bad behaviors, please think how’s your live or or comunity without them. In case something bad happen, they will be definitely needed.
In my area the community can make proposal to make a program for them to help the community, such as giving education seminar on the danger of drugs to schools etc.

Policemen must not be indolent or lazy so that the people will change their concept of them as useless in the society.

I think they are personable and pretty awsome. I live in a small town and you will see on their breaks pushing their kids on the swing. Pretty tight knit though. Alaska
