i have just been told our company is being relocated about 50 miles away! I dont have a car and cannot afford one or the train. I am only an apprentice at the mo but hopefully by the time we move i will have gained my Business NVQ level 2. there is no way i will be moving or commuting as i just cannot afford it. I will have worked as an office junior (apprentice) for about a year and gained the business qualifications. what r the chances of getting another decent office job such as an assistant. i dont really wana do administration.
any suggestions what to do altogether?

If you have a formal Apprentice Agreement they have some legal obligations to look after you (and you cant just quit for no reason) ...

So ... go speak to your Boss / HR Departmnet ... they may be able to arrange car share, car finance, etc... If all else fails, I believe they will have to find you a place at another Company where you can complete your training.

If you have no agreemnet, then (if you have been there more than a year) they will have to offer you some Redundancy money (if wont be much) but they might also help you find another job via an "Outplacement Agency" or similar (which they will pay for) .. again, go speak to HR ...
