Will Immigration question me if I bring in $5000 (USD) in cash? Or should I change it to travellers checks instead?

No restrictions on how much you can bring into SG. However, for safety, perhaps you should also carry T/Cs (half cash, half T/Cs).

I'm going to say no, if you actually follow the teachings of Christ. Now keep in mind that most Christians conveniently ignore most of the Bible, including the bits about stoning people to death. However, while the Bible generally doesn't have much of a problem with gambling per se, Jesus was pretty clear about the pursuit of money: "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. " Matthew 19:23-24, Mark 10:23-25 So entering contests in order to win money seems to me like the pursuit of wealth, and on that basis if you ever won such a contest, you might have a hard time getting in to Heaven. Realistically though, you should do whatever the heck you like and not have the church dictate to you what is good or bad.

Dude, try not to travel with so much cash. In singapore we are very cautious about many things, so you might have a slight delay.. but if is your money, there will be no problems at all.

Btw, when u come, can we meet up for coffee? and i won't mind some cash as a gift~ LOL

Cheers and have a good stay in singapura

you can generally travel to most countries with up to $10,000 in cash. My question is why would you? With atm's so prevalent these days it is much safer to leave your money in the bank and withdraw it as you need it. You pay a little more but it pays to be safer. Security first these days. Also you can set up bank transfers in advance with your bank. Anything to stop you carrying too much cash. Good luck!

It would be convenient to bring TCs, due to anti money laundring restrictions.
