Our corporate controlled government does not want to "enhance" any type of responsible corporate activity like "taking care of employees hurt on the job". Actually, once upon a time, if you got hurt, all you got was "kicked off the job", so you didn't get ANY compensation for the injury and also you lost your job.

So, the corporate controlled government thinks you should be happy with any pittance that you get... and they would probably take that away if they could do it easily.... but since they are doing well enough as it is, they don't target it except for big items like "tort reform", which actually limits the liability of greedy corporations in situations like this.

Go to our sacred "churches" and see if they have any compassion. They have lots of money and they are probably the last hope for any assistance in this economy.

Workman's comp has always been a "racket" perpetuated by the State and supported by many insurance companies. My experience with this has been that many pay big premiums yet when it comes to payouts, the insurance companies use all their resources to get out of payment.

Like all the other insurance scams (Hurricane coverage in FL for example), the insurance companies are just racking in the money. God help you if you get stuck in Florida because there, the mortgage companies require you to buy Hurricane coverage and the insurance companies charge huge premiums for it. Additionally, almost all policies have equally huge deductibles so there is virtually no risk to the insurance companies. All the while, they boast of big profits every year.

To say our insurance industry is out of control is a big understatement.

Sorry to say, Billy's right. Its just another big business scam and we all end up being ripped off. That's what lobbyists are for. They wine and dine govt. officials into letting them get away with murder. You did the right thing to get a lawyer. keep on fighting. good luck
This is one of the reasons that I moved out of the country. The govt. is totally unresponsive to the people anymore. Its all about the money. Big business is running the country! And running it badly I might add.

You are dealing with big business(insurance companies) and the legal system. Who makes the laws, which ensure lawyers a good living and who gains the most from keeping down the costs of gig business? The people who control politicians and the pollies themselves. And you wonder why you are up against it.
