I know this seems like a silly question, BUT Seattle is only a game behind Cleveland in the wild card race. So, as a Indian fan, who are you rooting for?

Yes, I do know it is a 4 game series, and The Tigers lost Thursday.

Okay, for those of you who do not know my sense of humor, I'm being silly. I am testing Indian fans to see how awake they are.

I'm hoping for and Indians sweep of the Royals and the Mariners take 3 out of 4. That would put the Indians up 2 1/2 games on the Tigers and 2 on the Mariners.

I believe it would be the opposite. Both Tigers and Indians fans should hope the Mariners lose because they don't want to have another team in the chase. The Tigers and Indians would be satisfied to make the playoffs as division champs or as a wild card and if the Mariners put together a good streak they could take either the Indians or Tigers out of the playoff picture. Someone is always going to be chasing you, you just don't want everyone chasing you.

If it's a 4-game series, shouldn't Indians fans be hoping for a 2-2 split?
With Verlander and Rogers scheduled over the weekend, and with Seattle having already won yesterday (albeit in controversial fashion, but a win is still a win), today's result will determine whether or not I personally want to see a Seattle sweep.

The Indians should root for the Tigers, I don't think they can catch the Tigers.
They might win the Wild Card, but the Central i think is the Tigers.

I don't understand your question. It is a four game series. And, like, are you asking Indian fans this question. I just don't understand!!
My guess - they are rooting for the Indians this weekend, and hope for a split. That is just my guess, but you know I am right. How - because I said a certain team would be no better than a 3rd place team, didn't I??

Mariners. I am not to worried about the wild card. I think the Mariners will have a little trouble with not having a real manager in place of Hargrove. They are a good team and Ichiro is amazing but, I don't see the winning lasting much longer.

I'm rooting for the Tigers. I'm hoping for a Mets vs Tigers World Series so you and I can make a friendly wager!

Indians fans should definitely be rooting for the Mariners. First of all, taking the division would be preferable to the wild card. Second, Mariners will most likely implode on themselves like they do almost every September.
