President Kalam unable to speak in Hindi.
Is it a big problem
Does it really matters.
He is an Indian Citizen , an honest one perhaps, thats the main problem, he is honest

Hindi is not a problem , Hindi is just another language in India along with the dozens of Indian language around, he can speak a very good Tamil.
What more, suppose he can only speak Bengali or Malayalam along with English, what is the problem with that ?
As long he is an Indian origin and able to speak any Indian language is fine, he is a brilliant Scientist who made all of us Indian proud, so lets"s not give focus on language but rather race, before language problem becomes another key issues.
Remember co-incidently he is a Tamil, and the national language issue on Hindi, might get heated up on a different angle, so plz make it sound neutral and warm.

President should know Hindi, but if he unable to speak Hindi,it is not a big problem. He is an honest, it is his one of the best quality and not a problem.

Don't focus on someone's language or race focus on his/her values and principles.Mr. A.P.G.Kalam is a nice and talented
person.Admire his good work and what he has done for our
country.Till now he is the only trusted person who really helps
poor people by improving their lives.Yes his biggest problem is his honesty which can't survive in India.
We should learn something from him to help our country in a better way.

why hindi?
In india you have over 200 different languages. Does he need to speak them all? I dont think so.

President kalamjee problem ,next president election because if all party dose not supported him, so he will not stand next president election.

I think that the PRESIDENT understands Hindi very well thanks to the work environtment.
The work of GOI is carried in ENGLISH&HINDI. Hence there is no problem in administration.
