no way dude! i have a 13 inch 2.16 core duo and it still gets bogged down! i mean yeah i love my book but sometimes it gets clogged...i only have 1 gig tho i need another. but the point is a 17 incher will be a whole lot worse off with your stats
ps if youre gonna just use it a little get a 13 inch, its pretty big enough, doesnt fell cramped..i use it as a desktop too! save the money and get a memroy upgrade like i recommended

wow that will be more then enough browsing the web with out getting no viruses and clean operating system u cant go wrong with a mac for basic use the mac is too strong but its a great computer

That machine is overkill, if you are so loaded then throw your dough around for such simple task.
With exception of gaming, anything better than Pentium 3 is enough for consumer or paper-pushing office use.
