1)Hanging ..for PROVEN child/police/old people murderers...OK then ALL murderers. DNA evidence is now so reliable that there can be no defence.
2)Corporal punishment in schools.The cane needn't be used a lot, only the THREAT that it COULD be used would keep the majority under control.As it is kids know that a teacher can't put a finger on them for fear of being sacked/sued and some will even tell that to their faces.
3) The TV series 'Catweazle' with Geoffery Bayldon..I used to love it.

Good old-fashioned discipline, with the adults in charge! Also the factories, ship-yards, etc. Teaching employable skills in schools, and being able to leave school and go straight into work, instead of getting a degree which is no use to anyone. I'm not against university, it's just you don't need a degree to get a normal office job and work your way up!
