Lets face it most of the people in the UK are sick of the McCanns. Their blatant neglect of the little ones by leaving them alone for hours while they socialise. Their world tour, meeting the rich and famous. Gerrys blogs. The family blaming everyone but the ones at fault (Kate and Gerry). Most people I speak to think the whole show stinks, and many suspect the McCanns. I pray for poor little Madelaines return, and hope she's safe, but I think it's now over for her.
Why isn't the media saying it like it is?

Its bizarre isn't it? I don't know anyone that isn't suspicious of the parents, but according to our media (ALL the media) the Mccann's are a perfect example of how to be a 1st class parent!
There is a massive cover-up going on, and support for that comes right from the top of government.
And we all know that our dear government are superb at cover-ups.
Just haven't been able to figure out who Gerry is, that he deserves that level of protection.

I agree. I've never known anything even remotely like this happening before. It's incredible how these two have risen to something like superstar status, have got rich, have travelled the world - all they need to do now is join Gore's worldwide COs mission or move in with Blair's Middle East office! Where the hell is the poor little girl? Why all the focus on her parents? It's all so wrong and bad. From the start I've felt very sorry for all those genuinely caring parents the world over who've lost their children and NOTHING has been done, and they've been ignored - they must be suffering terribly as they watch this McCann show. I'm still convinced HE is the guilty party.

The media only portray the positive picture where the Mccann's are concerned which is being very bias. The Mccann's seem to have every journalist and the media dangling like a puppet on a string. It's pathetic.

- If they come out and say, for example "Child neglecting money grabbing profiteering B******s" they may be sued.

- The do not want to be seen as doing anything that could affect getting Maddy back.

- This IS an ongoing police investigation, so there are things that they cannot print in case a trial ever comes to court. (look what happened about Ian Huntley, as soon as he was found guilty all sorts of stories were printed the day after)

I would say I have a fairly large group of friends.

Most of my friends are what would be classed on here as Pro McCann. Most of them have never considered for a second that there is anything remotely dodgy about the parents or that night.

I am well outnumbered amongst them.

Surely there is at least one journalist in the world that has the backbone to stand up and ask the questions that need to be asked. If this had been anyone other than the Mcanns the press would have ripped them to pieces long ago.

I dont agree that its the majority that feel like that.

Everyone wants Madeliene returned safe and well but I can tell you now if it that was my daughter missing I would do everything in my power to find her and you lot that think thats wrong have no empathy.

How can it be wrong to want to find your daughter FFS? Whatever way they do it, its got to be a good thing. Its working coz all you ANTIs are still talking about her 70 odd days later.

The majority of peoples thoughts, and you base this on what,
what proof positive have you got of this statement ?
In answer to your question , and according to some on hear its all about class, the McCanns being middle class doctors means that the press are on their side...
LMFAO, how stupid is that, papers like the Sun, The Star & Sporting Life are really middle class, not.
So that blows that paranoia out of the water..
Government cover up, and the proof of this what ? Oh I know, maybe Gerry McCann is the secret love child of Gordon Brown.
Yeah that will be it.

firstly it's the media's purpose to report the facts, not the general public's thoughts. Also i think your being rather harsh in what you said about them being directly responsible, speculation will not help anyone.

"Why isn't the media echoing the majority of peoples thoughts about the McCanns?"

Its not the view of the majority, thats why.

Most people think that they were neglectful to leave their children and there it ends.

The obession is on Q&A, mostly fuelled by speculation...
