I've heard that interracial marriages produce "healthier" kids. Meaning, there's less chance of that child having a birth defect due to using the same gene pool. I saw it on a TV program. I'm Hispanic and my husband is White, we get along great. The only problem we had was that in Mexican culture, the groom's family pays for the wedding, and in American culture, the bride's does! Ah, I'm not all that Mexican anyway. We split the costs. :)

This is a huge issue in my culture. I am Armenian and every Armenian parent strongly disagrees with interracial marriage. They believe through interracial marriage, the next generations will be lost and to the small population of Armenians who don't have their lands and proper country to live in, it is very important to protect the upcoming generations.
However, even in an interracial marriage, if you love your culture so much it won't be hard for you to rub that off on your child. My teacher who is Armenian, married an African American. Their kid looks more African American than Armenian, but speaks Armenian so fluently and has a heart of an Armenian like very few other people.
Scientifically, interracial marriages are very very safe. If you marry within your own race it is much more likely for you children to have a disease that is common to that race. If you marry outside your race the chances go down incredibly! Scientifically speaking there could even be advantages. If an African American marries a none African American, their children will have the ability to fight off malaria (which is a common disease for African Americans) yet will not have red cell problems (which is a side affect for having immunity to malaria like African Americans do).

Race and culture are two different things. There are no different races in humans, so-called races are undefinable. Some cultures object to inter-cultural relationships but that should not be a problem for anyone. If you all live in the same country, no-one should have any objection to anyone dating/marrying anyone else.

I believe that when it comes to love skin color should not have anything to do with it. In this day and time unless you live in hick town USA I think it is totally OK. Why not. Other people who may walk by and smirk don't pay your bills . People seem to think that they need others approval for everything. Well the only persons approval you need is yours. Love does not see color. Happiness is not described by color. Companionship is not felt with color. I have never been in a interracial relationship myself but i have friends and family that have been and I support them completely.

For it. This is one of those things that I can't understand how anyone could be against it as people should get married because they have strong feelings for each other, there is no reason people should restict who they have feeling for because they are not the right race. Exclude people because of their personalities, not their outside appearence!

To me ~ The right girls don't just stay in your race so you expand. Also, how could you not date a fine girl that happens to be another color
